The Mega Millions jackpot has been reduced from $1,000,000 to $1 million in the lottery’s first three days, the Los Angeles Kings announced Tuesday.
Kings captain Dustin Brown said he and his wife had the opportunity to win their first ever Mega Millions ticket in the form of a win.
The Kings also announced a new, one-time ticket to be sold for $1 in the game.
The $1 ticket is a “big deal” for Brown and his family, he said.
“It’s an awesome feeling when you get a chance to win something, you never thought that you would be a part of it, it’s great,” he said during a press conference in Los Angeles.
The Kings announced a one-game lottery prize of $1 for a first-time lottery winner.
The winning ticket can be used to buy one of four new Kings merchandise items: a hoodie, a hooded sweatshirt, a pair of red Kings caps and a Kings hooded sweatpants.
