The makers of M&Ms bingo card are now selling it to millions of Indians as a “massive hit”.
M&M Australia’s James Gaudett told the Financial Times that the card is the biggest hit in the Indian market since the launch in 2012.
“We were thrilled to be the first brand to introduce the ‘Bubbly’ card to India.
It has a large following across the country and has had a massive impact,” he said.
The card has now sold out in some parts of the country, but Mr Gaudetts said the company was still considering other countries where the card could be introduced.
He said the card was the biggest sales hit in India since the brand was launched.
It has now been sold out at many stores in Mumbai and Mumbai’s South Zone.
A spokesperson for the M&Mc’s global operations said that it was not yet sure when it would be available in India, but it is a huge hit there.
“We are working hard to make it available as soon as possible in India.
We are working on an international rollout,” she said.
The card, which comes in black and white, is priced at $0.16 each.
It is sold in the US, UK, Ireland, Germany, Singapore, France, Italy, Belgium, Austria, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, the US Virgin Islands and Canada.
M&Ms India’s marketing director, Sushil Kumar, told the FT that the product was “a hit in a very short space of time”.
“The first wave of M &M cards have now been shipped in our first three stores in India and the brand has been a hit across the board,” he added.
M&Mc India’s website has said the cards have been sold at more than 6 million locations in the country.
