NC lottery winners, who have received $2.7 million or more in state lottery jackpot cash prizes, are now at number five on Forbes’ list of the 500 highest-earning people in the country.
Keno, a former U.S. Marine and entrepreneur, is the fifth-highest-earner in the United States with a net worth of $2,936,400, according to Forbes.
Virginia State Lottery founder and CEO Mark Lipscomb was the sixth-highest, earning $2 million in 2017.
Lipscomb has been the CEO of the Virginia Lottery since December 2016.
Lipscom was the first lottery executive in the state to receive a state lottery win in 2018, and his prize of $1 million was the highest in Virginia history.
Liptons winning percentage over his five years in office has increased from 29.9% in 2019 to 31.4% in 2018.
The Virginia Lotteries Board of Directors voted unanimously to award him the 2018 Virginia Lotters Lottery Lottery Capital of the Year award.
The Board also announced Lips comissioning a new sports gambling operation.
Liptons family also owns the Charlotte Hornets basketball team.
