The odds of Kentucky being able to win the lottery have increased by over 100% in the past two weeks.
Louisville and the University of Louisville have both increased their odds by a factor of 10.
The university has also increased its odds by 2.5x, the Louisville Courier Journal reports.
The lottery is not just a game of chance for Kentucky and the Cardinals, it’s also a way to boost morale in the locker room after losing three of their last four games.
“This is a great way to do something positive for our team,” Louisville head coach Matt Hughes said in a press conference after his team won its fourth consecutive game against Miami on Sunday.
“It’s going to be fun to see how that affects the players.”
The Cardinals will play four games in eight days, with their first contest on Tuesday against Cincinnati.
The team is on a five-game winning streak and has not lost in a game since Feb. 14.
