WISCONSIN — A Wisconsin lottery winner won more than 1 million dollars after winning $3.3 million in the lottery, officials said Thursday.
Troy Pritchard, 35, was in the stands for his third consecutive Wisconsin lottery win on Thursday.
He had won $2.3,000 at the 2011 Wisconsin Lottery but never made it to the drawing in 2012.
His wife, Jill, and three children were in the box when he won the jackpot, Wisconsin Lotteries spokesman Kevin Pritchel said.
“It’s a dream come true,” Pritch said.
“It was a blessing in disguise.”
Pritchard’s win is a milestone for lottery winners.
A total of 3,300 winners were announced at the Wisconsin Lotters’ Association convention in Milwaukee.
That number is the highest number of winners for any single state.
